Location

Ideally located on a private concession in the Mababe region of Northern Botswana.
Mogotlho Safari Lodge is situated on the banks of the beautiful Khwai River on a private concession within a greater, pristine wildlife area in Northern Botswana. It is adjacent to both Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park, and the perfect en-route stop between Maun and Kasane.
With the Khwai River feeding into the Mababe depression, this unique location attracts large herds of buffalo and elephant, with lion, hippo, leopard and wild dog, to name just a few, also being frequent visitors to the lodge and surrounding bush.
Home to many species of flora and a plethora of wildlife, Mababe is an idyllic destination for wildlife and nature enthusiasts and safari experiences in this region are on par with the very best.
For visitors looking for an authentic cultural experience, we are also conveniently close to the Mababe community settlement where traditional dancing can be arranged on request either at Mogotlho Safari Lodge or in the village.
Transfers are available on request from Maun and Khwai Airstrip, and being a two-hour drive from Maun, self-driving is also an easy option.
